Cook&Eat: Ogreten (Gratin)

You want to try something delicious, easy to prepare and part of the Bulgarian cuisine? The gratin is the right dish for you. Here is what you need for 4 portions:

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • 500 gr. potatoes
  • 200 ml. milk
  • 150 gr. cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • salt

Wash the potatoes and boil them. After they are ready, peel them and cut them into slices. Arrange the potatoes in a large baking tin that is well oiled. Pound up the cheese and place it on the potatoes. Repeat the procedure again. Smash the eggs, add them to the milk and the salt. Then pour the mixture onto the potatoes and the cheese. Put some butter on the gratin and leave it to bake for about 30 minutes in 200 C.
